Polaris

POLARIS is an independent production company born with the idea of producing high quality audiovisual contents for cinema and TV with a strong international potential. POLARIS is in particular specialized with European coproductions thanks to Christophe Mazodier’s background as former producer for Babelsberg studios in Berlin.

  • Christophe Mazodier

    After graduating from AUDENCIA (Nantes) and completing his Master in Mass Communication, Christophe Mazodier started his professional career in Germany in 1993 at the STUDIO BABELSBERG (Berlin), where he first worked as Volker Schlöndorff’s assistant for the production of « Roi des Aulnes », a projet starred by John Malkovich. During the seven years he worked at the Studio, Mazodier helped design the financial plans for several international co-productions, developed numerous feature films and gave an important contribute to the development of new mechanisms for film financing.

    In 2000, Mazodier decided to became an independent producer. Between 2002 and 2004 he worked with X-Filme Creative Pool and produced “Parfum d’Absinthe” Was nützt die Liebe in Gedanken/Love in thoughts) by Achim von Borries with Daniel Brühl and August Diehl.

    In 2005, he started his own production company, POLARIS FILM and produced “2 days in Paris”, Julie Delpy’s first feature film.
